AWKWORD Interview with DeadEndHipHop and TheTapeDeck

AWKWORD recently sat down with DeadEndHipHop.com Editor-In-Chief Kinge and TheTapeDeck.net Managing Editor Yoh31 to talk threats of imperialism, prisons, suicide, Aaron Swartz, Chuck D, Hip Hop, his mother and working with more than 100 artists for World View.

Yoh:

AWKWORD is an artist that vision knows no boundaries. He imprints hip-hop history by being the first emcee to create a global album completely for charity. I’m thankful that Kinge and myself could speak with AWKWORD and further the insight for a project that deserves much attention. The conversation touches on a plethora of areas (threats of imperialism, prisons, suicide, Aaron Swartz,Chuck D, Hip Hop and rap, his mother and working with more than 100 artists for his 100% for-charity album, released February 2014 via DJBooth), you get a glimpse of AWKWORD the man, artist, and the activist. Recently, he released the impressive “Brighter“, displaying vivid storytelling for your audio enjoyment.
