High Praise for ‘Words w/ AWKWORD’ by Tha Soloist x Trilian
On April 30, 2013, Kevin Nottingham world premiered neo-classic rap “Words w/ AWKWORD’ by #WorldView Mix Master Trilian of Serbia (producer) and New Jersey’s (Angel) Tha Soloist (emcee). Coming off of Tha Soloist vs. Trilian: Original Script is the Certified fresH banger “Words.” The track features the verbal artillery of AWKWORD along with Tha Soloist over an ill backdrop provided by Serbian born producer Trilian. Most of the time we get joints from AWKWORD that are of a political nature so it is refreshing to get something where the homie is just spittin’ BARS! Not that kickin’ knowledge is a bad thing but every once in a while a mufucka just wants that raw shit in his eardrums, Tha Soloist, AWKWORD and Trilian definitely deliver on “Words.”
This is pure Hip Hop traditionalism.
Here is a dope track from Tha Soloist featuring AWKWORD “Words” produced by Trilian. The track is raw and contains two MC”s spittin some insane lines.
Start your weekend off with some proper hip-hop, courtesy of the homies Awkword and Tha Soloist. By now you know that we fuck with Awkword heavily at the LCH headquarters; he’s one the of premier artists perpetuating pure hip-hop. His flow is consistently classic with rhymes that cut with a modern edge. Tha Soloist holds down the tail end of this track and kills his verse. Both of them speak on the golden days of rap, when style and skill pushed artists to the top. It’s not fair to say that Awkword is on the come up because it seems like he’s already made it to an extent. Be on the look out for his forthcoming project “World View”, the first ever 100% for charity rap album.
The Soloist, Trilian & Awkword teach Words on their collabo cut and it’s exactly what you should be listenin’ to when the play button is clicked.
Dope new boom-bap from Tha Soloist and Awkword! Definitely cop this joint.
Don’t sleep!… This joint from Tha Soloist & AWKWORD is tight. As a Kevin Nottingham world premiere, you can imagine this video received it’s fair share of plays and has been trending all across the net. Check it out and see why.
New track off Tha Soloist and Trilian’s collab project Original Script. On this one they enlist Awkword to spit some heavy bars. Check it out.
I feel a certain kind of way with this record. Maybe its just the beat but I almost feel like spitting some bars. Don’t worry I won’t Tha Soloist and AWKWORD already killed it. Relax and Listen!
Neighbor Hood Watch World Wide:
From Original Script, “Words” featuring Awkword is a quick hard-hitting track that will bump in your earbuds. Although this is a stand out track, Serbian producer Trilian and Tha Soloist’s collab is laced with bangers all the way through.

On April 9, 2013, DJ Bobby Trends world premiered the Slim K Slowdown of AWKWORD‘s underground hit record “Requiem“, produced by ATG and featuring Ess Vee, CuzOH! Black and SoulStice.

… Oh yeah and speaking of chopped and screwed, peep this recently chopped not slopped track from AWKWORD called “Requiem”. His verse on this joint is tight as hell.

A chopped and screwed remix of NYC activist/emcee AWKWORD’s “Requiem” by Slim K Slowdown, a rising artist from OG Ron C‘s crew. The original production was handled by ATG, with guest vocals from Ess Vee, SoulStice, CuzOH! Black, Australia’s Jay Daniels and Grindhouse Gang’s Mark Deez. Zone out.
I’m going to let the Certified fresH music speak for itself! We get the Slim K Slowdown Chopped & Screwed remix of AWKWORD’s “Requiem” featuring SoulStice, Ess Vee and CuzOH! Black and lets just say that this one will be in rotation for a while to come and will definitely make it to The Certified fresH Jumpoff next Thursday. Hit play mufucka.
Our fam Awkword drops some new heat produced by the homie ATG featuring dope verses from SoulStice, Ess Vee, and CuzOh! Black.
If you’re looking for a dirty party track, look no further than AWKWORD‘s latest release, “Requiem.” The drug anthem, produced by ATG, features verses from Ess Vee, SoulStice and CuzOH!, marking it a 3-minute track full of heat and underground talent. Not to mention the chopped and screwed instrumental courtesy of Slim K, from OG Ron C’s crew.
Awkword is back and flexing that artistic diversity muscle with the remix to his popular drug anthem ‘Requiem’. Per usual, Awkword shows off his awareness and conscientiousness as a rapper and human; the track speaks on the dark truths of the drug culture. This chopped and screwed version plays on the ever popular new-school trill sound that’s been all over the game lately and illustrates the diversity of Awkword’s style and craft. This track is definitely worth a play or three, and we’re forever fucking with the homie. His philanthropy combined with lyrical talent and social awareness make Awkword one of more progressive artists on the rise right now. We’re crazy excited for his upcoming DJ Booth presented “Worldview”.
Keep doing your thing, man. Perpetual props from the flock.

The love/hate relationship between drugs and hiphop culture is long and complicated. With the influence that mollies and promethazine syrup have on popular rap, Awkword decided it was a good time to drop this “sarcastic pro-drug-slash-drug-PSA song” The Requiem…
Even though I was always surrounded by drugs and alcoholism growing up, I was never in danger of using myself. Even when I have enjoyed music that glorified drug use, I always interpreted drug use as being more trouble than it was worth, and indulged my drug rap habit on a metaphorical level. Very few times did people try to get me to try drugs, and when they did, they found me to be immune to peer pressure. I was always very comfortable being the sober comics nerd in the party.
Anyways, we have Slim K to thank for this “purple-ized” remix. Click here to cop it on soundcloud.
Slim K slows down Awkword’s “Requiem” and takes ATG’s production to a whole ‘nother level.
I’ve been feeling a lot of chopped & screwed remixes lately and this is no exception. AWKWORD puts a dope twist on his cut with SoulStice, Ess Vee & CuzOH! Black.
ATG is a fuckin’ genius with these beats mane. OG Ron C’s crew member Slim K4 chops & screws AWKWORD’s daunting drug anthem “Requiem”, featuring guest verses from Ess Vee, as well as SoulStice & CuzOH! Black, and a sing-along hook led by AWKWORD, with backup vocals from Ess Vee, Australia’s Jay Daniels & Grindhouse Gang’s Mark Deez. Also, be on the look out as AWKWORD has the visual to “Requiem” in the works. Stay tuned. Very dope.
Awkword is the next victim of a chopped & screwed version for OG Ron C. This is that realness with an added teaspoon of banger sentiment.
New dopeness from Awkword.
Awkword always comes correct with the exclusive joints that he puts together… Check It!!
Nothing like another AWKWORD record to keep the culture moving forward. Relax and Listen!
AWKWORD is back with the remix to his underground classic “Requiem”. Dopeness reloaded!

New Music: AWKWORD ft. Ess Vee – Requiem – Slim K Slowdown
A DJ Bobby Trends (Hot 97) World Premiere! FREE Stream x DOWNLOAD here.
The last time Slim K and AWKWORD connected it was for the Chopstar‘s Slowdown of AWKWORD’s Harry Fraud-produced song “Bars & Hooks” featuring Sean Price and The Kid Daytona. (HipHopWired World Premiere.)
This time the rising star from OG Ron C‘s crew chops & screws AWKWORD’s daunting drug anthem “Requiem“.
The song features production from ATG; guest verses from Ess Vee, as well as SoulStice and CuzOH! Black; and a sing-along hook led by AWKWORD, with backup vocals from Ess Vee, Australia’s Jay Daniels and Grindhouse Gang’s Mark Deez.
With molly and promethazine syrup taking over the Hip Hop scene and defining the image and work of many major artists, this is a timely sarcastic pro-drug-slash-drug-PSA song, now so fittingly purple-ized by Slim K.
As DJ Z (DJBooth) said, “Need some fresh music to play at your next kegger? AWKWORD’s got just the thing — provided you like your party music with a pitch-black edge.”
